Ridge and Brooke argue about Stephanie. Ridge asks, "Are you going to stop seeing Thorne or not?" Brooke says it's none of his business and turns to leave, but Ridge stops her from leaving. She's not anywhere, Ridge tells her as he stands by the doorway, placing his hand on it to keep her from opening it.

Thorne and Macy talk to Stephanie, who thinks what has happened is a miracle. Yes it is, Macy agrees, but even so, Stephanie should concentrate on getting better. Stephanie tells the two of them to stop worrying about her and to focus on themselves and their relationship.

At Forrester, Giovanni and Kimberly are working in the photo studio. Giovanni is pleased with the results, but he sees that she is distracted. She admits that she is worried about the kiss between them: while she liked it, she is still unsure how she feels about it. Giovanni thinks that she is just starting to feel comfortable with her feelings. Just then, Amber walks into the room, unseen by either Kimberly or Giovanni. Standing in the background, she listens to them talk about the kiss. Giovanni says it will take time, and he leaves. Amber walks up and says, "Mmm-mmm... what a nice looking hunk of a man; is he a friend of yours?"

Ridge guesses that broke is not going to give up on Thorne. Brooke says that they have nothing else to talk about. Ridge says if anyone should apologize, it is her and Thorne, as they are the ones jeopardizing Stephanie's life. Brooke says Stephanie will be fine, but Ridge says the risk will still be there. Brooke says she did not cause the stroke: it was Stephanie's stress, and all they need to do is approach her the right way. Ridge begs Brooke to stay away from his mother: she is finally happy due to this tragedy, as she is reunited with Eric, and he will not allow Brooke to ruin that. Is she really that selfish, and is her infatuation with Thorne worth destroying his family?

Macy tells to Stephanie that she and Thorne are happy about Stephanie's recovery. She should just take her time getting better. Stephanie says she sees things differently now after the stroke, and she knows just how short life is. She is grateful for every little thing, like the ring Eric put on her finger. And when she looks at Thorne and Macy, she can see their commitment. "You see things the way they are," she explains to them.

Kimberly asks Amber what she was doing there. Amber flaunts that she is a Forrester, and as such, can go anywhere she wants in the building. She then asks again about Giovanni. Amber starts to rub it in, thinking this must be something hot going on. Kimberly says this is business. Amber doesn't buy it, or Kimberly wouldn't be so hot and bothered. She asks, "Are you seeing someone?" Kim denies it: not every woman is hung up on a man. Amber guesses that Kimberly is indeed hung up on someone: in fact, Amber thinks that she is still hung up on Rick.

In Paris, at Forrester International, Becky talks to Raymond about Amber. Raymond asks Becky if she's like to get something to eat and they go to a small café. They start to talk about Amber. Becky tells him that Amber has a baby now, and Raymond says he knows. The baby must be about 4 months old now, he guesses, but Becky corrects him that it is 6 months. The waiter brings water and they order "'amburgers" and cola. When Becky talks about how cute the baby is, Raymond wonders if he is the spitting image of his father. Becky says, "I guess so," "Don't you know Rick?" he asks. She says she does, but she hung out mostly with Stephanie and CJ. And what about Kimberly? Raymond asks. Becky explains that Kimberly was still around when she first came to LA, but that's over. "Rick was still dating Kimberly?" Raymond asks. Becky says she was talking about CJ. Amber and Rick are rock solid, she tells him, so Raymond guesses that Rick wasn't hung up on Kimberly after all.

Amber is still talking to Kimberly; she says, "You still want Rick don't you?" Kimberly denies it, but Amber says it is obvious that Kim is desperate to have Rick. However, she is married to Rick, so it's never going to happen. This pursuit of her husband is over right now!

Becky says, "Rick was hung up on Kimberly?" Raymond says that's what he thought from what CJ said. But now with the baby and all... Becky asks, "You mean if the baby wasn't there, then Rick would really want to be with Kimberly?"

Brooke tells Ridge this is not a fling. She insists, "I love your brother more than anyone I have ever loved." Ridge questions Brooke why Thorne is so special. Brooke asks why is it so hard to believe that Thorne can make her happy. Ridge is happy, so why can't she do the same... with Thorne. Just as Ridge says she holds Stephanie's fate in her hands, she points out that Ridge holds hers (Brooke's) in his. She respects Ridge for the choices he made and is happy for him and Taylor, but she pleads with Ridge to allow her to be happy. All her life, Stephanie has taken so much from her, so she begs him not to take Thorne away from her. She says to think about it and leaves.

Brooke runs into Thorne outside the office. Thorne sees how shaken she is. Brooke explains that she was pleading their case with Ridge and thinks that she may have gotten through to him... or at least she hopes she did. Meanwhile, in his office, Ridge says to himself that this is impossible. He would do anything not to hurt Brooke again, but he cannot do this one thing. "You're not going to jeopardize my mother's life for an affair with my brother," he proclaims.

At Insomnia, CJ is joking around while Rick is trying to study. CJ shows Rick a layout of Kimberly and the new Princess line from Forrester. CJ says that she's hot... he had his chance though, so maybe it will be the next guy. Kimberly's free to date whoever she wants, Rick points out. CJ starts riding him about it, and Rick reminds CJ that he's a married man and starts to leave. CJ tells him to wait and apologizes. Rick says it's not CJ that has him leaving: he has to get over to Forrester. CJ tells Rick that he was doing the right thing and tells him to hang in there.

Becky questions Raymond about Rick, Kimberly and Amber. He says she should know better than he, since she has seen Amber more recently. Did she see anything unusual in L.A.? No, but if Rick was seeing Kimberly... She remembers Brooke telling her that Rick's marriage would fall apart: was this what she was talking about? Raymond assures her that there **was** something between Rick and Kimberly, but that was months ago. Amber will let nothing stand between her and Rick, he says as Becky considers his words.

Kimberly tells Amber that she's not after Rick. Amber says that Kimberly is obsessed with Rick; if she had the chance, she'd be all over him. Kimberly says that Amber is the obsessed one and calls her a hypocrite who blackmailed and lied to Rick; based on that, how dare she accuse Kimberly of anything?

Becky asks Raymond if Kimberly was a threat to Rick's marriage. Raymond says not anymore. Before the wedding, from what he heard, she might have been, but not now. Becky tells him that Kimberly modeled for Forrester, which Raymond thinks proves his point: Amber would not have let that happen if Kimberly was a threat. He thinks about Brooke beating her head against the wall to get Rick and Amber apart, but Rick will never turn his back on his son. Becky starts to think about her baby. Raymond asks Becky if the baby was ok, and Becky thinks so.

Amber tells Kimberly to keep her interfering little snot nose out of her affairs. Kimberly says she can't help it if Rick needs someone to talk to. Amber accuses Kimberly of being nothing more than a pawn for Brooke. Brooke is just using her as bait for Rick, Amber claims... and if it weren't for Rick, Kimberly would have never even gotten this job. Kimberly says, "Well, if it wasn't for little Eric, you'd never gotten Rick!" With that comment, Amber freaks out. Kimberly says that everyone knows Rick only married her because of the baby. Amber walks up behind her and grabs her by the hair, and they start to fight. Rick walks in and breaks them up. Amber wants to keep going at Kimberly, but Rick orders her to leave and wait for him at home. When Amber hesitates, Rick yells at her to go. Amber leaves, and Kimberly has a smile on her face.

Rick and Kimberly talk about Amber. She explains that Amber started grilling her about her love life, and then she flipped out. She then accused her of waiting for Rick, which led to Amber attacking her. Rick asks Kimberly if Amber hurt her. Amber knew what she doing, Kimberly says; Amber is a vicious and vile person, and Kimberly is sorry that Rick ever got involved with her.

Raymond tells Becky that as long as Amber has that baby, nothing will come between Rick and Amber. Raymond leaves to use the restroom. Becky says that she needs to know more. She calls Amber on her cell phone; the phone rings just as Amber gets home. Amber answers it and asks why Becky is calling. Becky asks about the baby pictures; when Amber says she's doing her best, Becky advises her to do better, or else. "So how's Rick? Has he seen much of Kimberly lately? The model?" Becky asks. Becky tells a shocked Amber she knows all about them. Amber says everything was fine now. Becky says, "Yeah, as long as you have my baby." Amber says Becky must have some bad sources, since there's obviously been some kind of misunderstanding. Becky says her source is right here and hands the phone to Raymond, who is back at the table. Amber asks him what he's doing in Paris, and he explains. Amber then asks what has Becky been saying. Becky gets on the phone and tells Amber the call was costing her a fortune. "Raymond says bye! I'll be in touch," Becky says as she hangs up. Raymond and Becky continue eating; she says this has been fun and asks if she can see him again. Raymond says ok, but next time he wants to talk about something other than Amber. They don't want Amber to flip out, he says. Becky explains that she just called her cousin to let Amber know she met him. She doesn't want Amber to think she just popped in on him. Raymond tells Becky that he'll be in town for two weeks and to pop by anytime. Becky says to herself that maybe she'll pop by Amber's, too.

Amber is worried and calls her mother, but gets her answering machine. She leaves a message, asking for Tawny to come as soon as possible. She tells herself she does not know what to do. The phone rings and she answers, hoping it is her mother. Becky says, "I should have known you'd call her." Amber asks what's going on. Becky says, "You tell me." Raymond told her everything about Rick and Kimberly, and she is now worried about her son. Amber says everything is fine. Becky says what about Rick and little Eric? Amber says that both Eric and Rick are ok and Kimberly is no problem. Becky says, "I'm worried; maybe if I had my pictures..." Amber promises to see what she can do. Becky warns, "You'd better do it fast... because as long as I've got reason to worry, so do you." Becky hangs up.

Rick and Kimberly are still talking about Amber. He wonders what Amber said. Kimberly says what was said is not important so much as that she said anything at all. The whole thing got out of hand, and that was just what Amber wanted. She was acting like someone insecure about her marriage, Kim points out... and if the problem isn't Kimberly, what is it? Kimberly asks if they had been fighting. Rick says no. Kimberly says well something is worrying Amber, and she thinks that Amber has a secret that she doesn't what them to know. She would give anything to know what that is.

Becky looks at pictures of Kimberly. She says to the pictures, "You could tell me about my baby, couldn't you? And if Raymond was right about you and Rick, then that marriage is not about love. That's no place for my baby to be... and if that's the case, Amber, then I've got to get my baby back."

Thanks again to -di- for today's update!

We open with Becky looking at a fashion layout of Kimberly. She's thinking about her baby and the possibilities that her son may be the glue holding together Amber and Rick. What if the kid she thought she had left in a loving environment was not in a home where mommy and daddy are in love??????

Amber is telling Little Eric that she is not going to let anything bad happen. It will blow over. Rick overhears her conversation and asks her about it. What did she mean? She says that she was thinking about the studio and will apologize to Kimberly. Rick points out that they are married - Kim knows it, Rick knows it - only Amber doesn't seem to get it, and they should talk about that. "But not now. Now we go visit Stephanie," she says. Amber tells herself to chill out. She handled Kimberly, and she can handle Becky. It will all work out. She hopes that Tawny got her message.

Tawny is lying by the pool drinking. She points out to Helen the maid that her glass is empty and "reuests" that it should be refilled... with a mai tai, and not one with that cheap rum. She then orders Helen to let her know the instant her daughter calls; after all, Amber asked her to come there and she does not want to wait. Helen sarcastically says that she doesn't want her to wait... that is, she will be sure to tell Amber. Tawny then looks around an marvels at how well her daughter has done for herself. Why can't she just sit back and enjoy? It's high time that this girl learns not to worry.

At Spectra, Kim is telling Sally about her incident with Amber. She was surprised by Amber's behavior. Sally is not surprised at all, though. It wasn't exactly a civilized discussion, Kim says, and she may have said some things she shouldn't have, but she didn't lie. Rick doesn't love Kim. Sally asks if Rick told her that. Kim allows that he didn't SAY that, but how could he love Amber after all the stuff she has pulled and all the stuff she is still pulling? Sally points out that Amber is the mother of his child and that Rick is totally committed to that child. "There is nothing you or Amber can do to change that," she says.

Becky flashes back to Amber telling her that Little Eric is her number 1 priority. She wants to believe that was the truth... but, Beck wonders, what is the kid actually getting? That is what everyone wants... Rick, Amber and Becky. She has to find out if her baby is growing up in an atmosphere where the daddy and mommy are not in love. If that is so, then it is a time bomb. She determines that she can't ask Amber or Rick - "but Kimberly... She could tell me." She remembers that CJ told her that Adam worked at Spectra. She speaks to international information and gets the phone number.

Kim knows that Rick wants to do what is best - but is having two parents who don't love each other best? Sally points out that while Rick may not love Amber, Amber is devoted to him. Kim scoffs at that. Amber is just desperate and doesn't even love him: she doesn't even know what love is, or she wouldn't be doing what she is doing to him. Sally thinks it sounds as though Kim thinks Amber is up to her old tricks. Kim thinks so. Kim wishes that Rick could see Amber for the person she really is; then he would not be so committed. They are interrupted by an international call for Kimberly. It is a reporter from Paris.

Stephanie is greeting little Eric with a "hello, handsome". She realizes that now, she can actually call little Eric her grandson, and she tells Rick and Amber that she loves them like her own children. They assure her that they feel the same way about her and will do anything for her that they can. Stephanie wants them to baby-sit her for awhile until she is able to baby-sit Little Eric. Amber says of course - everything else comes second to family and Rick knows that she feels that way. "Right, Rick?" Rick says sure, but he looks unconvinced.

Sally leaves to give Kim privacy for the phone call. Becky, speaking in a French accent, explains that she is a reporter and has some questions. Kim tells her that all interviews are arranged through Forrester. Becky pushes, telling her that they are interested in the more personal aspect of her life. They want to do a profile for her fans. What's her favorite food? And is there a man in her life... perhaps a favorite Forrester? "Forresters?" Kimberly asks. Yes, they are big celebrities in France - especially that young Rick. Kim assures her that Rick is married. Becky asks if the rumors are not true. Kimberly says that they are just friends. "Just friends? Nothing more? You and Rick are not in love?" Becky asks. Kim is done. She is about to hang up. "But stop!!! It's not what you think," Becky says.

Helen brings a mai tai to Ms. Moore. Tawny asks about Amber. She is still at the hospital, Helen says. Tawny tells the maid that Stephanie will want Amber to help around the house, and that means Tawny is here to help with Little Eric. The maid protests, but Tawny insists she is here for a while. Her boss at the tollbooth will just have to understand. She has her priorities straight, and nothing is as important as family.

Stephanie wants to know what is wrong between Amber and Rick. Amber assures her that their life is perfect. Rick suggests that they leave to give Steph her rest, but Steph asks Rick to wait. She wants to talk to him alone. Amber says that she will meet him back at the house. After Amber, leaves Steph wants to know what is going wrong between them. Rick doesn't know what is wrong with Amber. One minute she is happy - the next moment she is picking a fight with Kim. It is frustrating. He tries to convince her that they are okay, but she is still insecure.

Amber comes home to find Tawny by the pool. She tells Tawny that she has heard from Becky - and she was with Raymond. "Did he tell her?" Tawny asks. Just about Kimberly, Amber replies. She was asking about the marriage and stability. "I told her that Little Eric was fine and that there's nothing to worry about. But she wanted pictures," Amber says. Tawny is astonished that Becky would even call and says no about the pictures, but Amber thinks that she should keep Becky from getting angry. Tawny thinks Amber should be the angry one after all she has done for Becky and Little Eric. Tawny tells Amber to leave this situation to her.

The reporter is not accusing Kim of anything, she says. She is turning off the tape recorder and is ready to speak off the record. Doesn't she feel badly that the baby will be raised without a loving family? Kim doesn't believe it is a reporter. She demands to know who it is, or she will hang up. "All right, I will tell you..." Becky says.

Thanks to Glad for today's update!

Kimberly tells the "reporter" that she has the phoniest French accent she has ever heard and wants to know why she is doing this to her. Becky tries to get her to listen to her but Kimberly says that she is going to hang up. Quickly, Becky admits that she isn't a French reporter. She tells her that they have a lot in common. Kimberly doesn't believe her until Becky tells her that she has the same empty feeling in her heart. She knows how it feels to want to be with him but can't; she knows because she has the same feelings. Kimberly is aghast! "You are in love with Rick also?" she asks. Becky says that Rick isn't the one and Kimberly demands to know who she is talking about. Becky says she can't tell her because she made a promise. Kimberly won't accept this and says that if she doesn't tell her, she will hang up. Becky is beside herself, torn between telling Kimberly and keeping her word to Amber. "I could change your life with one sentence," she cries out. Angry at not getting a straight answer, Kimberly hangs up. Becky yells into the phone, but there is no one there.

Stephanie tells Rick that she really wants to help him and Amber. Rick assures her that she is a big help just by being around. She asks him what Amber has to feel insecure about but he doesn't know. "I think you do know," Stephanie quietly says. Rick looks nervous but doesn't answer. Stephanie asks if he spends time with Amber; do they talk, or go out? He says that he hasn't the time for those things. He is a college student with a part time job. Stephanie says that if the job is interfering with his time with his family, then he should quit the job. He answers that he enjoys the job. Stephanie wonders if it is the job or the girl he sees at the job that he enjoys. When Rick asks what she is talking about, she tells him that Amber is insecure about him spending so much time with Kimberly. She then asks him what it is that he wants to do with his life. He answers that he wants to be a good father and husband. Stephanie reminds him that what he wants for himself is just as important as what he wants for his family. Rick says she is wrong, but she insists she is not. She then asks him how he feels about Amber. "She's my wife," Rick answers. "I know you want me to say that I love her, but..." Stephanie says she wants him to be honest. He then tells her that Amber is acting like she has something to hide again. It can't work if she isn't open with him. "Are you open with her?" Stephanie asks. "Are you open with her about Kimberly?"

Tawny tells Amber not to worry about anything; she will handle Becky. Amber wants to know what she means by handling it. She warns that if she is too confrontational with Becky, it could backfire on them and Becky could take the baby away from her. She couldn't stand it if she lost her baby. She thinks that if she just sent the pictures to Becky, she would be satisfied. Tawny rants that Becky is a stupid ungrateful twit and she isn't going to let her get away with this game she is playing. If Amber sent the pictures, it would only satisfy her for a little while... and then it would be something else, and then something else. No! It has to stop and it has to stop now or the truth will come out; Becky will make sure of that. She is a loose cannon who has to be put in her place. You cannot pussyfoot around someone like that or you would just be creating a monster. She reminds Amber what is at stake, so Amber gives in and tells her mother to go ahead and call Becky, but Tawny says that she isn't going to call her; she is going to Paris and see her in person. She is going to let her know for the last time that the game is over; it stops in Paris once and for all. Who does that ungrateful Becky thinks she is? "Don't do anything stupid!" Amber instructs her mom, worried. Tawny says that nothing is ever stupid when it comes to protecting her daughter.

Sally returns to her office and asks how the interview went. Kimberly tells her that it wasn't a reporter after all, but someone asking questions about her and Rick. This only goes to prove that Amber is hiding something. She says that she would love to know what that secret is. Later, when she is alone, Kimberly wonders how Rick would feel if she found out Amber's secret and told him. She decides that he would be happy about it, because it would mean that he was free... and they would be free to be together.

Taylor is ready to leave the hospital. She stands there with her two girls in her arms, with Jack and Ridge standing beside her. The doctors and nurses are there to say goodbye to her. They say that she is an inspiration to the entire staff with the way she has fought this disease and won. Taylor tells them that she learned a lot while confined to that small room about the frailty of life. She never fully understood how caring for someone could have such far-reaching effects but now she understands that even a simple act of kindness can bring unimaginable joy into someone's life. As they start to leave, she mentions that she needs to take the girls home, but she is sorry that they don't even have a room of their own. "But who cares?" she asks. "We are out of here." Ridge looks at Jack and repeats, "Who cares, huh?" and the two men smile knowingly.

Later, Ridge opens the door to a fancy house, saying this is what she has always wanted. Jack leads a blindfolded Taylor up to the door of a strange house. Ridge then takes over and leads her inside, and he then takes the blindfold off. Taylor is stunned when she looks around and Ridge tells her, "Welcome home, Doc." She is very happy at what she sees. Taylor hands the babies to Jack so that she can throw her arms around her husband and kiss him. Ridge explains that he bought the house from Pierce because she always loved it; besides, he made a deal with Pierce that if he stayed in New York, Ridge would buy the house, Ridge jokes. He admits that he bid on it the day after they saw it. He tells her that they will raise their children here in this house and it will be a happy house. He tells her that it was her faith that pulled them all through this ordeal. He feels like he has some of her faith now and he can only thank her for that. Taylor kisses him.

Amber tells herself that she just has to focus on little Eric and Rick and let her mother take care of Becky. "Oh, Mom, keep your cool over there---just keep your cool!"

In Paris, Becky is devastated. "Raymond was right," she says. "Rick and Kimberly do love each other. Where does that leave my baby? It leaves him in a loveless home. I can't let that happen to him!"

In her seat on the plane, Tawny thinks, "You are not going to do it, I won't let you. I will stop you for good! It is time to bury this secret for once and for all!"

Thanks to Glad for today's update!

Dr. Cannon comes in to see Stephanie and asks how she is doing. She says that she is stronger but a little shaky and he says that that is to be expected. He tells her that he is really impressed with her quick recovery. She tells him that she can't wait to recover enough to go home and be with her family. "Then today is your lucky day," the doc announces. "You are going home today."

Thorne and Brooke start the day with a long kiss. She asks about his mother and says that she is glad that she had a good night. "Soon she can go home," Brooke says. "She will get better and better until she is well. Then we will be free to get on with our lives as well. I promise you that when that day comes, I will make you the happiest man in the world." Thorne says that he just hopes that she got through to Ridge. She believes that she did but says that they have to block out the things that Ridge and Eric have to say and listen to their hearts. Thorne gets a call and tells Brooke that it was the nurse. She called to tell him that his mother is going home today. Brooke is excited by the news. He grabs her hand and tells her to come on.

Meanwhile, Ridge and Eric are in the waiting room talking. Ridge tells him about his visit from Brooke. He says that Brooke pleaded with him to allow her to be happy with Thorne. However, she is in complete denial, he says. She has it in her head that now Thorne is the only one destined to make her truly happy and nothing he said could dissuade her. "Far be it from me to interfere with true happiness," Eric says. "But I can't allow them to hurt Stephanie."

It is night in Paris but Becky is sitting at her desk at Forrester. She studies Brooke's business card. "If you only knew," she says. "If you only knew the secret Amber is keeping from you and the rest of the family!" Aloud she says that that precious little boy is hers; "he is my child!" Raymond comes in and hears her talking to herself. He says that he is there to pick up a few things and she says that she is glad that he is there. She has something interesting to tell him. She says that after they talked the other night, she did a little digging on her own. She called Spectra and had a long chat with Kimberly Fairchild and it was very enlightening. "Why did you do that?" Raymond questions, horrified at what she did. Becky tells him that she had to be sure of Rick and Amber's marriage for Little Eric's sake. He tells her that she is letting herself become too involved in the marriage and the life of the child. "What does it matter to you anyway?" Becky says. He says that Amber is a friend of his. He doesn't want her thinking that he is gossiping about her marriage behind her back. "Relax!" Becky tells him. "We are in Paris, thousands of miles from Amber and Tawny. They can't touch us here. I needed to be sure that Eric was all right, that is all." He tells her that she is tripping. She sits behind her desk and goes on about how all she wanted was just one little picture and that witch, Tawny, wouldn't send her one. Let it go! Raymond tells her. He tells that she has a good thing here. She is in Paris with a wonderful job. He would hate to see her blow it. "Don't worry about me," Becky tells him. "Amber is the one you should be concerned about." He shakes his head and says that he has to get going. Alone, Becky again contemplates Brooke's business card.

The plane is getting ready to land as Tawny finishes her drink. "Look what you have driven me to," she says. "Do you think I would let you ruin my daughter's life? No, I am stopping you dead in your tracks!" She takes out her address book and goes over Becky's address.

Stephanie is alone thinking about going home. Looking at the ring Eric gave her, she says that he has no idea what that meant to her. And now that Taylor is well and home with the twins, all they need to complete the family is for Thorne and Macy to marry. Ridge and Eric come in, happy that she is going home. Ridge tells her that she is going to have the whole family waiting on her hand and foot, but she says that she would rather be well enough to take care of herself. Eric warns her not to expect too much too soon. He tells her that there is to be a welcome home party for her. The doctor comes in with the discharge papers and Eric goes to the desk to sign them for her. The nurse comes in with the wheelchair and everyone leaves so that she can get Stephanie ready to go home.

Tawny is pounding on Becky's door when the apartment manager comes up the stairs to see what all the commotion is about. She begins charming him. She tells him that she is Becky's mother and she has come a long way to see her daughter. She finally talks him into letting her into the apartment.

Amber holds Eric and paces beside the pool. She tells Eric that Grandma has gone to Paris to make sure that his Aunt Becky doesn't do anything to ruin his happiness. Her mother won't let her down again---not this time. She can't! She will make Becky realize that Eric is better off with her.

Becky arrives home and lets herself in to her dark apartment. She is shocked to see someone standing by the balcony. She rushes to turn on the lights and asks what Tawny is doing in Paris. "You didn't think I would allow my favorite niece to go live in Paris and not pay her a visit, did you?" Tawny asks sweetly. Becky says that she has to go back to work but Tawny grabs her by the arm and tells her in no uncertain terms that she isn't going anywhere.

Stephanie is alone in her room with the nurse, who helps Stephanie into a sitting position at the edge of the bed and begins to take her blood pressure. Stephanie stares at the wheelchair and down at her useless hand. She suddenly breaks down and begins to weep uncontrollably. The nurse leaves her sitting there alone and goes for the doctor. Eric comes in and rushes to her side. She tells him that she has made a big mistake by marrying him. He deserves someone whole to be with him in these years that should be so good for him. He tells her that he loves her and they will get back what they had when they were young. He knows that she will walk again and he will be there beside her when she does. He refuses to let her give up. She breaks down and tells him that she loves him so much. As she cries on his shoulder, neither of them is aware that Ridge has entered and is standing there watching. Ridge looks out the viewing window just as Thorne and Brooke walk up hand in hand. "Damn you both!" he whispers.
